Shirley was a graduate of Commercial High School, class of 1949 and Georgia Teachers College, 1952, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Shirley was the only child of the late Ellis H. Shuman and Clistye Lanier Tillman of Pembroke, Georgia. They enjoyed several interesting years together traveling to many different locations. In the early morning of August 16th, 2022, Lester Powell Sr., aged 98, passed peacefully in his sleep.
Cindy was born to Nedra Marlene and Julian Howard McKenzie on January 27th, 1959 in Savannah. She graduated from St. Vincent's Academy with the Class of 1977. She was a Chatham County Superior Court Clerk and retired after 27 years. Cindy married Frank Groover and together they raised two wonderful children, Suzanne and Michael. Joan Ann Valoze, 79, passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2022 in Savannah, Georgia. She was born in Canastota, New York daughter of Louis F.

Laura C. Heisey (March 1950—September 2022) Laura Cole Heisey of Tybee Island, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 29, 2022 with her husband by her side. Thomas Andrew Myers, 84, died October 8, 2022, with his family by his side. He was born in Thomasville, NC on October 28, 1937, to Mabel Sullivan Myers and Willis Lamberth Myers. Tommy graduated from High Point University, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, with a degree in Chemistry.

Chuck and Colleen eventually married and were blessed with 33 wonderful years of marriage. Kristy Lea Patrick, 42, passed away Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at her home. She was born February 3, 1980 in Barton, MO. Kristy has lived in Savannah since she was 17 years old. She was a huge Green Bay Packers fan, and was considered the “Neighborhood Mom” to many of her children’s friends. Kristy was an avid volunteer at Gould Elementary School where her children attended. She loved to cook and enjoyed feeding anyone who would stop by her home.

He was born in Waycross, GA to the late Henry C. Smith Jr. and Martha Burnam McDonald Smith in November 1949. Card was a graduate of Waycross High School in 1968 and played several sports to include football and track. He was awarded a Track Team Record Certificate for establishing a new school record for the Sprint Medley Relay in 1968.
Jane moved to Jacksonville, Florida in 1940, and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School. After high school, Jane was employed by The Prudential Insurance Company of America. Jane and her husband, the late Ray Clifton McClain, Sr., were married on February 14, 1953 and resided in Jacksonville from 1955 to 2018. Jane served as a homemaker and stay-at-home mom from 1955 to 1977. William Douglas Grubbs (“Bill”), 82 of Wilmington Island GA, passed away peacefully in the hospital on July 22, 2022 after a battle with cancer, with his spouse and daughters by his side. Bill was born in Macon, GA, son of Johnnie Durham and Ethel Grubbs and was the youngest of five children.

She was born one of ten children of Joseph and Catherine Orzechowski in Bridgeport, CT. She was educated there and in New York as part of the war effort. Helen’s career was as an administrative assistant at Georgia Tech Research Institute. They had one daughter, Katherine Lilla Blum Russell. One of Helen’s greatest pleasures was accompanying her husband and daughter to their karate lessons and karate competitions.
Sarah was the beloved daughter of the late David Bell and Elizabeth Kelly Bell. Sarah married Jerry A. Keller in November 1966 in Crawley, England. Her passion was her family, Sarah was a devoted housewife and mother.
Kevin was an extremely hard worker and very talented. He was known as one of the best roofers in the Savannah area. Kevin was a very proud big brother to Chris, Justin, Garrett, and Morgan. Cam Ly Dang (1939 – 2022) On July 31, 2022, Mrs. Cam Ly Dang passed away peacefully in her sleep.
Benjamin was born on August 20, 1985 to Lisa and Ricky Neville. Benjamin graduated from Savannah Christian Preparatory School and holds degrees from Georgia Southern and Florida State Universities. While at Georgia Southern, Armstrong Campus, Benjamin was a recharting member of Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
